Welcome Scouters

Supporting the Order of the Arrow as an adult leader

As a Scouter, you play a vital role in the Order of the Arrow. Whether you are a unit leader, a lodge adviser, or a council volunteer, the OA depends on dedicated adult leaders.

Unit Leader Responsibilities

Unit leaders are essential to the OA election process. Here is how you can help:

  • Schedule a unit election with your chapter chief or election team
  • Ensure eligible Scouts know about the opportunity
  • Encourage elected candidates to attend an Experience weekend
  • Support your Arrowmen in attending lodge events

Adult Membership

Adults can also be recognized by the Order of the Arrow. Adult nominations are made by the unit committee, based on the individual's contributions to Scouting and their embodiment of the Scout Oath and Law.

Lodge Adviser Opportunities

The lodge is always looking for dedicated adult volunteers to serve as advisers at the chapter and lodge level. If you are interested in serving, contact the Lodge Adviser.
